After sleeping in crevices for years on end, I crawl out of one and and take my own photo for my book cover.

Smokin' Joe Frazier!

What a Great 5*****Star Read!

Smokin' Joe: The Autobiography of a Heavyweight Champion of the World, Smokin' Joe Frazier.

I’ve seen all of Joe Frazier’s fights and watched them dozens of times, so when I finished reading his great autobiography in the Hobart library in Tasmania, I dreamed of meeting him one day when The Hobo invades America. I read his autobiography just six months before he passed away and I caught this photo of his book in my hand. My Higher Power, Mt Wellington, is seen in the background through the library window. Joe Frazier’s book was fantastic and I loved reading about his hard childhood before his boxing days, and though he was poor, he had a wonderful family. Smokin Joe had a great sense of humour, both in-and-out of the ring and was obviously as funny as Jerry Lewis and Muhammad Ali. I loved Joe Frazier’s hilarious and absorbing literature, especially the part about bug-eyed nut-balls and whipping scamboogas and such.

Six months after reading this inspiring book, I cried when hearing of the planet's best heavyweight passing away. Philadelphia lost its greatest heavyweight champion and I'm saddened because now I’ll never get to meet this compassionate and kind man who treated everyone as an equal, and after reading his story, I know that he wouldn’t treat a homeless boxer any different to a rich one, which is unlike the way I’ve been treated. Maybe the spirit of Smokin' Joe will join me on my next run up my Higher Power, Mt Wellington, along with Bon Scott from ACDC.

There should be a statue at the top of the Philadelphia steps of the great Joe Frazier, the real heavyweight champion of the world, not some actor.

I hope the Frazier family are all okay and I thank them for keeping Smokin' Joe’s legacy strong for all of his fans.

Boxing Promoters

Even though The Hobo hasn't had a drink this year, Johnny Noctor,  Australia's homeless boxer, is still sleeping in his swag.

Since New-Years Eve, I've been running up mountains and done a hundred rounds of sparring. It's about time some of these smart trainers and promoters started filming and exposing what Boxer Hobo is really like when in shape and off the grog. I can easily prove that this registered fighter can't get matched up in Australia even when bashing everyone in the gym. Fight!

June Bourgo wrote about Boxer Hobo

It's great to get a great review of your book, but one wonderful lady has gone even further. After giving my book Boxer Hobo a five-star review on Amazon, she's now promoted my book on her blog. That's unbelievable, but I really appreciated it. I'm stoked! And I always take my hat off to a lady, so thank you, Ms June Bourgo.

You can read what this wonderful lady wrote about The Hobo on her website.

New Book Giveaway

I've just given away a paperback copy of my book Boxer Hobo to an American reader on Goodreads. I now have a paperback Giveaway for and Australian reader on Goodreads. So if any Australians out there would like a copy, click on the link at the right hand side of my blog or go to Goodreads to enter.

Though I'm off the grog, have recovered from my brain injury and I'm fighting fit from running up my Higher Power, Mt Wellington, in Hobart, no Australian boxing promoter will give The Hobo a fair fight, well not when he's sober and running the mountain. The ones that did get me fights were only interested when I was on the grog, sick from my brain injury, and sleeping in my swag.

I've just spent the last week in Hobart, running up the mountain and I'm still not drinking.

Help The Hobo stay clean and sober and safe so he can feed his kids. Buy the $2.99 eBook or even the paperback. You'll at least get a good laugh and maybe even save my life.
